Information Security Consultant
Location - Manchester / hybrid
As an Information Security Consultant, you’ll require a mix of technical security knowledge within AWS or Azure and compliance skills, particularly within regulated industries such as UK Government, Health, and Defence. You’ll work closely with the team and clients, independently leading security initiatives across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security assurance for cloud-hosted services through all project stages.
- Provide Public Cloud security expertise (Azure, AWS) aligned with NCSC principles.
- Define scopes for security testing (ITHC, Pen Testing) on cloud platforms and SaaS.
- Advise on UK Government security standards
- Perform risk assessments, identify gaps, and support threat remediation.
- Conduct Cyber Security Maturity Assessments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud security for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless.
- Knowledge of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Risk assessment and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile, adaptable, and experienced in stakeholder management.
- Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code
Preferred Certifications - CISSP, CISM, AWS or Azure Security certifcations.
Security Clearance: You will be required to either hold or be able to achieve SC Clearance.
