As part of a small, dedicated team, you'll collaborate with IT security, SRE, and development teams to implement company-wide security practices, consulting on security demands, and ensuring our systems remain secure, scalable, and efficient.
What You'll Do:
- Develop innovative, secure solutions by leveraging your deep understanding of security practices and programming experience.
- Take ownership of security across all domains of the company.
- Inspire and empower engineers to build secure services while maintaining productivity.
- Advocate for a security-first culture by raising awareness and embedding security into all aspects of the company.
- Shape the company's security strategy by aligning IT security demands with business needs.
Desirable skills:
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform security would be perfect. AWS or Azure experience will also be considered.
- Hands-on experience as a SecDevOps engineer or SRE / DevOps background with an interest in security would also be considered.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java EE, Spring Framework, or alternatives like Golang, Python, or Rust.
- Knowledge of security GRC structures (ISO/IEC 27x, ISMS).
- Familiarity with web application security principles, OWASP Top Ten, and secure coding practices.
- Solid understanding of security tools and policies to monitor and enforce IT security.
- Experience in security assessments, code reviews, and penetration testing.
