Full Stack Software Engineer – National Security
Location: Surrey/Hampshire - Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 + DV bonus + excellent benefits
Clearance Required: Must hold eDV level security clearance

We’re recruiting for a Full Stack Software Engineer to work on high-impact, secure technology projects that support national safety and infrastructure. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, using modern tools and frameworks to build secure, scalable, and innovative systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy secure full stack applications
- Write clean, test-driven code (TDD/BDD)
- Integrate frontend components with APIs and backend systems
- Maintain and enhance core architecture (data ingestion, APIs, storage)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retros, sprint planning)
- Collaborate with researchers, designers, and technical teams
- Translate complex user needs into scalable software solutions
Tech Stack & Desirable Skills
Experience in some of the following is beneficial:
- Languages: Python, Java, Golang, JavaScript, C++
- Frontend: React, Vue.js, AngularJS
- Backend: Node.js, Nginx, Uvicorn, RESTful APIs
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
- Scripting: Bash, PowerShell
- Passion for learning new tech and solving complex problems
