Forward Role ED&I Policy
Our diversity & inclusion promise
Forward Role are committed to promoting equal opportunities and inclusion in the workplace as an employer, a provider of services and also to our suppliers. Diversity and inclusion at work is about recognising, appreciating and most importantly understanding that every individual is different. We ensure that everyone is valued and respected and that their selection for recruitment, training or promotion is always based on a professional criteria. Our employees and our candidates are assessed objectively: we ensure that only their skills, qualifications and experience are considered in the recruitment process.
At Forward Role, we believe it is essential to the success of our business that we appreciate and add value to the markets we recruit into on behalf of our clients. We’re determined to lead the way within the recruitment industry in diversity and inclusion and work closely with our clients to ensure we source and recruit from a truly diverse talent pool. This enables us to support their diversity strategies and provide them with the best possible candidates for the roles they are seeking to fill.
In our own working environment, we are continually developing our understanding of, and approach to, sustaining an inclusive working environment. We are committed to promoting inclusion and ensuring that the people we employ feel valued. All individuals are different and are recognised and appreciated for this.
We have built diversity and inclusion content into all training programmes and have rolled out initiatives regarding gender, parenting and sexual orientation & gender identity. This includes providing mentoring, lunch and learns aimed at D&I, mental health confidential support and more. We are also working with our internal resourcers to ensure greater emphasis is placed on ensuring a wider representation of candidates from racial and ethnic minorities.
We want all our potential suppliers to understand how important diversity & inclusion is to Forward Role so we will take into consideration suppliers who can demonstrate that they hold diversity, equality & inclusion in similar regard.
Our current monitoring data shows that Forward Role consistently attracts an equal gender split and that we place an equal number of male and female candidates. At Forward Role we monitor both our employees and our candidates via an anonymous online equal opportunities survey.
This confidential information is stored separately from our talent management database and provides us with quantifiable data. By analysing this important data we are able to review our internal policies and procedures, for example attraction, retention and career progression, ensuring compliance with both our legal obligations and also our company goals.
This information is collated and processed separately from the recruitment database so it can play no part in influencing the recruitment process. It is used for monitoring purposes only and is tracked anonymously via a code. This means we can see the diversity mix of those applying for roles, as against those shortlisted and eventually placed, without knowing the actual identity of the individuals concerned.
Forward Role store and process all data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998. The statistics generated from our surveys are used with the sole purpose of monitoring the diversity of our candidates and employees, and to identify any areas of diversity and inclusion which may need to be improved
